Former British Champion & World Cup Winner Kate Fisher
Confidence, energy, and stamina are only some of the attributes dancing has provided for me throughout my career as a professional dancer and dance teacher.
As a child I attended my local dance school where I took all of my medal tests after which I became one of the top six junior competitors representing Britain in European dance events.
At sixteen years old, I formed a dance partnership with Paul Holmes. Over the next eleven years we won numerous titles including the British National Championships and the World Cup in Hungary. I also won the former series of come dancing on multiple occasions.
In addition to teaching, I have performed shows, lectured and adjudicated all over the world including Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, America, Canada, East and West Europe. Judging in the European Ballroom Dance Championships was an honour I am very proud of.
Quality dance instruction has developed my overall competence and has enabled many career successes. However the one key factor which has contributed to my dancing has been the fact that I enjoyed myself, dancing was fun, dancing gave me the confidence as a child, and that confidence has stayed with me ever since.
Since having children, I now live in Daventry and run my own dancing schools under the Kate Fisher Dance Academy. I teach weekly classes to all age groups within the various locations as outlined within this website.
The Kate Fisher Dance Academy teaches pupils of all levels of ability, we encourage pupils to advance though their medal tests, meet new friends and ultimately enjoy themselves. My own pupils have become champions in their own right and many perform in shows across the world.
